Students from throughout the Diocese of Lake Charles and Calcasieu Parish Schools were recognized for their extraordinary and outstanding submissions to the Venerable Fr. Augustus Tolton inaugural essay contest. They were honored at an awards banquet March 12.
Students in each division, Elementary, Middle and High School, wrote essays on different topics relating to Venerable Father Augustus Tolton's life and legacy.
Winners: Lauren Lance, a student at Moss Bluff Middle School, and was Sage Thayer, a student at Immaculate Conception Catholic School, are not pictured.
