About the Spirituality Center

The Tolton Spirituality Center is a nonprofit community hub that draws upon the life and legacy of Venerable Fr. Augustus Tolton, a former slave and the first recognized African-American roman catholic priest in the United States.

Inspired by the legacy of Venerable Fr. Augustus Tolton, the Spirituality Center seeks to help congregations thrive and build more sustainable and mission-focused catholic parishes.

Our Goals

  • Help congregations thrive by infusing them with a renewed hope for the future.

  • Develop and strengthen parish existing programs and ministries inspired by Tolton's virtues.

  • Create learning opportunities that help congregations understand and apply the principles and practices of Tolton's Spirituality.
