Calling all school-age children grades 5 through 8 in the Archdiocese of Chicago. It's time for the annual Venerable Fr. Augustus Tolton Essay Contest.

 The Tolton Ambassadors-Chicago are accepting essays from Catholic school students and students who faithfully attend a Catholic Church in the Archdiocese.

Do you or someone you know have a way with words? Do you know a student who has a knack for solving problems? Maybe you have spotted the next Maya Angelou, J.K. Rowling, or Jerry Pinkney?  If so, encourage that child to enter this year's contest.

Essays must be submitted by an Archdiocese of Chicago Catholic school faculty member or a Catholic Church administrator to: toltonambassador.chicago@gmail.com.
