This extraordinary documentary reveals the full story of Venerable Fr. Augustus Tolton's extraordinary life. This 90-minute biopic shows the obstacles he faced becoming the first recognized African-American Roman Catholic priest in the United States. The film premieredduring June 2024 in Chicago, kicking off a national tour of screenings across the country, including California, Indiana, and Florida. We highlight the reactions of viewers who attended the premiere.
